Where to Day Trip in Lodi
Are you looking for a little more excitement than our little town has? Lodi sits at the heart of one of the most exciting regions of the state. In an hour or two, you can be in a whole different world.
Where is there to go?
Madison: Wisconsin’s capital has everything a major city offers–just in a smaller size. Whether you prefer the upscale specialty shops of Monroe Street, the more earthy arts district of Atwood avenue, or the chaotic, eclectic paradox that is State Street, Madison has something for everyone.
Wisconsin Dells: The Water Park Capital of the World! Wisconsin’s biggest tourist attraction; Wisconsin Dells combines natural scenic beauty with every kind of entertainment you can think of. If you’ve never had the experience, be sure to ride the Ducks! (That’s a DUKW–a WWII amphibious landing craft; ride in one of these legendary antique vehicles, and see the beauty of the Dells, by land and water.)
Circus World Museum: Baraboo Wisconsin is located at the original winter home of the Ringling Brothers Circus. Now, it’s a permanent home to the Circus World Museum. Everything you loved about the circus as a child is here and waiting for you. It’s just a quick ride across the Colsac III ferry–the last free ferry in the state.
Devil’s Lake State Park: One of the many state parks within a short drive, Devil’s Lake is known for it’s natural beauty, its impressive basalt cliff, and its crystal clear waters, and its incredible scuba diving. Whether you choose to climb to the top of the bluffs, dive to the bottom of the “bottomless” lake, or just soak up some sun on the beach, Devil’s Lake is a great place to spend a day.
