Dinner Theatre returns to the Northern Edge with The Taffetas!
August 13th, 15th, and 16th, we’re bringing back our popular dinner theatre. This time it’s a musical show with a local flavor:
Back in the 1950s four Lodi sisters made their way to New York City, traveling more than 39 hours on a Greyhound bus, they popped up in Times Square ready for their debut on a nationally-syndicated radio show. Kaye, Peggy, Cheryl, Donna and their accompanist, Mikey are known collectively as The Taffetas.”
The dinner theatre show “The Taffetas” will hit town Aug 13-16 at the Northern Edge restaurant, bringing with it the music that Frankie Valli, Connie Francis and the girl groups like The Chantels made popular during a time when the nation prospered and things were simpler. The 90-minute show features 70 minutes of music, and the girls put a local touch on the script by including a Lodi storyline which features local hangouts and landmarks popular around here in the 50s.
The evening starts with your choice of meals from our own kitchen: Choose from baked haddock, bacon-wrapped beef tenderloin, or chicken cordon bleu. Each meal is served with a fresh baked potato and vegetables, and is finished off with our famous bread pudding in our special brandy butter sauce.
After dinner, sit back with a bottle of wine from our wine list, or a cocktail from the bar and enjoy an evening of live entertainment. A fine dinner and live entertainment… What could be more romantic than that?
How about a hotel room for the night, and breakfast the next morning? For Saturday night only, you can purchase a special Overnight Package: 2 tickets to dinner and the show, a room in the Lodi Valley Suites (attached to the restaurant), and Sunday morning brunch.
Show dates are Aug 13th, 15th, and 16th. Purchase your tickets online right here on LodiWisconsin.net
